Zoo Tycoon Review

Zoo Tycoon was the second game I got for my Xbox One and I thought it was awesome at first but then I realized it was nothing special. The original Zoo Tycoon games were much better they were made by Microsoft Studios and Blue Fang Games, the new one was made by Microsoft Studios and a new company called Frontier and no they are not the frontier everybody knows about though. Frontier is a new video game company I believe and I think they're the ones who brought it to console in the first place, which they did not do very well. Unlike all the other Zoo Tycoon games this one is sort of lacking the feel of customization which it needed to be a Tycoon game, for example: sidewalks are automatically placed when making a new exhibit and you cannot place trees, rocks, or water into your exhibit all you get is a default created exhibit. Another thing the game lacks is animals, in the old Zoo Tycoons there were many different kinds of animals to choose from in the new one there are categories of specific animals and when you press on them all you get is different kinds of that animal. There are many animals they are missing that I would have loved to have seen which are wolves, crocodiles, and ostriches which were three of the main animals in the original games. The game is not all bad though it does have something that I really liked and that is the mini exhibits where you can place small animals like birds, reptiles, and other small things ( That was really cool because I always wanted to have snakes in the original one). The game contains three game modes which are challenge, campaign, and free play. The challenge is basically free play just you have to actually make money. Campaign you play through missions that unlock new areas on the map to play free play, new scenarios, and even a golden statue. In free play you have unlimited money to build whatever you want. There is one major problem that made me stop playing this game and that is that there's a zoo limit, unlike the old ones where you could fill up the map you were on, in this one there is seriously a structure limit which is a huge mistake because don't you think that on the most advanced gaming console in the world you shouldn't have to worry about that. So overall this game is alright but not worth the 50 dollars I spent on it. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think of this game.
