Resident evil 5
Plot summary
Resident evil 5 is a direct sequel to the 4th game. It takes place 5 years after the events of the 4th game. You play as either Chris Redfield or Sheva Alomar. You are sent to Africa to capture a blackmarket dealer named Ricardo. Chris and Sheva soon learn that the locals have been infected by the las plagas virus. Eventually they find out that Ricardo is not in charge.
Gameplay
The game has an over the shoulder view. You cannot move while shooting. Many people don't like this, but i do because it makes the game scarier. The enemies in the game vary quite a bit. One moment you may be fighting normal zombies and the next moment you may be fighting zombie dogs. The game has a coop mode. The second player can manage his own inventory on Xbox and PC. On PlayStation the first player manages both inventories (in splitscreen).
Creativity
The boss battles in resident evil are very creative. Specifically the end boss fight with wesker. He literally dodges your bullets. Adding coop was a big step for resident evil.
Resident evil 6
Plot
In Resident evil 6 gives the player the option of playing as 7 different characters over 4 campaigns. Resident evil 6 deals with the biohazard of the c virus. A terrorist organization wants to release the c virus to the world. Its pretty simple.
Gameplay
The game still has the over the shoulder view. The enemies act almost the same as in the other games. The inventory system is a little different. To use an herb you have to add it to your case first. That way all you have to do is press a button and it takes a pill. The game also adds new modes and features not in resident evil 5. One of which is agent hunt in which someone joins a players campaign as an enemy. The other feature I really liked was intersecting campaigns. In this feature if two people are in different campaigns at certain points in the game they may see each other and fight together for a short amount of time.
Creativity
The boss battles are still pretty creative. Nothing new there though. The most creative things that I saw in the game was probably the intersecting campaigns addition and the agent hunt mode. For me the extra modes add a lot of replay ability to the game. Unfortunately it seems Cap Com is running out of scary ideas. What I mean by that is the game was more of an action game instead of a horror game. That may be more of a personal preference more than anything.
